The region is on edge following last week’s drone attack on an Israeli-linked oil tanker off Oman which left two international crew members dead. Israel and the US have warned they are preparing ‘action’ against Iran, which they blamed for the incident.
Missed this completely - Iranian drone hit a Israeli linked tanker ship and killed two?
Any handy links? BTW, with two killed usually there's lots more some likely badly wounded.

The leaders of Iran need something to divert public attention away from their failed economic, water, and other policies that is causing unprecedented civilian unrest in the County.
They probably want either a war or a significant international intervention to try to rally public support.
It is my hope that Countries like Japan, India and Korea will step in and with US air cover destroy all Iranian surface vessels, oil platforms, and coastal cities.
It is clear that the US military could dust off the old Operation Praying Mantis playbook, but I would prefer other countries do the dirty work.
