Good point. Checking the numbers... In 2019 in the U.S., 228 LE officers died by suicide, most of them in NY, CA, TX, and FL:

I can't find numbers for the MPDC or the numbers for 2020, but an alarmingly high number of LE officers take their own lives.

Still, we don't know what exactly happened to these four DC officers. Not enough details, yet.

And the other thing—I didn’t stress enough—was that while the Capitol Police were naturally defending the Capitol on January 6th, only a couple of hundred MDP officers where there, too.

The Majority were off shift or elsewhere.

Is the media stating these 4 officers were all defending the Capitol on Jan 6, or just their departments?

Huge difference.

I think I can see the narrative the media is trying:

“Dirty, evil Trump insurrectionists killed fine upstanding policemen. Film at 11:00.”
