Is there a widely accepted definition of collectivist? I see the NAZIs, Commies, Fascists, and now libtards as statists.

In before HURR DURR - North Korea is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea but they’re not Democratic.

It wasn’t until I was out of college and got interested in history on my own that I made the realization (Thanks to Winston Churchill’s - A History of the English Speaking Peoples) that the NAZIS were effectively communists. But Hitler didn’t want to work with the world communist leaders as he, rightfully, realized they were just after a power grab. Hitler was a true believer.

I firmly believe it’s why the communists went full tilt to distance themselves from him - because what he did is and was the natural outcome of totalitarian oppression.

See Cuba. See China. See Venezuela.

Socialism does not work.

Nazism or fascism = Ethnocentric socialism.
Communism = Multi cultural socialism.

I’ve never saw much difference between the two.

claims that Nazis were capitalist or Christian or both—though preposterous—are still occasionally heard.

Of course the Nazis were Christian. They had "Gott mit uns" on their belt buckles. /sarc

“Controversial problems [between Germany and Russia] did not, in my opinion, exist anywhere along the line from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea and to the Far East. In addition, despite all the divergencies in their views of life, there was one thing common to the ideology of Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union: opposition to the capitalist democracies in the West.”—Julius Schnurre, Nazi trade rep to Russia.

Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by Shirer. Page 501 in my copy,

As has been pointed out before, both Communist socialism and Nationalist Socialism are two bastard sons of the German Philosopher Hegel, by two different philosophical mothers.
