California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is facing an upcoming recall effort in September, said during an interview on Thursday that the Democrats could face “profound consequences nationwide” in the midterm elections next year if the recall effort against him is successful.
Newsom predicted that nationwide, Democrats would see “consequences” from his recall effort for “many, many years,” and it might help Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections. During the interview with the editorial boards of the McClatchy Newspapers, Newsom also noted that he does not think the Democrats are considering the consequences of him possibly losing.
“I don’t think the national Democratic Party’s asking themselves that question,” Newsom told them. “If this was a successful recall, I think it would have profound consequences nationwide and go to not just politics, but to policy and policymaking.”
The governor predicted that Republicans could weaponize the recall process against more California officials in the 2022 midterms, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

Correct me if I am wrong, but this guy for a governor is an idiot — Pelosi and Feinstein are not state, but federal offices. Pelosi is a district at that. There is no provision for recall of a congress critter nor a sitting senator. Is this not correct?

The voters of California can’t recall a federal official they voted into office. The state recall process is for state elected officials only.

Mismanagement of this state from top to bottom. Leaving aside politics—nothing is managed well, from fires to electricity to water to schools to welfare to crime to homelessness.
Democrats in CA know this. I like what Scott Adams said recently about CA’s new “fire season”—we can put billionaires into space but we can’t prevent or manage forest fires? In 2021?
Although they're so far to the Left most union members would never vote to recall the fool (much less vote for a Republican replacement!), this may cause many union members to just sit out the recall election ... at least that's the undercurrent, also because many are not particularly enthralled with the boy (including many who think his restrictions haven't gone far enough!) We'll know soon.
Get ready for whole group of dead people and illegals voting. Will be the biggest turnout for any election in California history. And people from all over the country will come to vote. (A few times) And the idiots in power there won’t be concerned the vote will exceed the population, let alone registered voters and people in attendance legal or not. And then they can use the lies to try to renegotiate new boundaries to increase their number in the house. Any new counties will be called New New Mexico, El Nueva Salvador, or El Centro de la Raza.

Well, it will mess up Pelosi’s evil master plan to replace Harris as VP with Newsom before Biden needs to be put out to pasture - so there’s that. :)
The Dems have a monopoly on power in California, and they are expanding that nationwide.
With complicit support from the spineless GOP, they are perfecting their cheating techniques, and they will continue to "win" elections in 2022, 2024 and beyond.
