When Nicole Solas, a Rhode Island mom, was preparing to enroll her daughter in kindergarten this year, she had one simple question: did the school teach critical race theory and gender theory to five-year-olds?
The answer to that question was not so simple, or at least, the South Kingstown, Rhode Island school district didn’t want it to be. Both the principal and chair of the school committee told Solas she would need to submit public records requests in order to find out the content of her daughter’s taxpayer-provided education.
When Solas submitted the requests, the school rejected them, claimed the requests were unclear. The school even held a meeting to discuss threats to sue Solas. When attorneys from the Goldwater Institute submitted another request on Solas’s behalf, the school said they could hand over the documents — but only if Solas paid more than $74,000 in processing fees.
The Goldwater Institute’s request was for any school communications that included terms such as “CRT,” “white privilege,” “gender theory,” “1619 project,” and “systemic racism.” The school district estimated it would take 4,954 hours — more than 619 business days — to retrieve the documents mentioning those terms.

Demand cameras in the classrooms or get your children out of the indoctrination centers

So pretty much yes.
the answer is yes, they are a radical school teaching marxist stuff
Even if they waive the fees, she won’t get the answer for 2 years. That’s too late for her to make a decision for her child.
If they won’t answer directly, we know the answer.
Every Red state should mandate that every classroom have a camera that streams, accessible to parents so they can watch what their children are being taught.
The only way this changes is if they know parents are watching every minute.
I’m fairly certain that the best private school in the area would cost a lot less than $74,000.

Considering the obstructions they’re thrown up & trying to scare her off with threats & then giving unreasonable amounts for processing fees, plus ‘intel’ from other parents telling her what their kids are being subjected to ..... she’s got her answer, plain as day.
walk away from government schools and libraries.
What is it going to take before people start homeschooling their kids?
Publik skrewls are communist poison.
There is a huge opportunity for a national private education business association. Imagine if you could get the financial backing and offer a product that included sports, and the arts.
The charter schools are doing some of this, but they don’t seem to be well organized on a national level. They already have formidable opposition from democrats and their union friends.
The market is there.
And now they’ve made up me names for those things to disguise the ideology. It still will be taught but under a different title.
“2 years. That’s too late for her to make a decision for her child.”
But it’s not too late to rescue her kid and remove her. Public schools have been commie cesspools for decades and NOW she decides to get concerned?
What is wrong with Mom asking her little one when they get home from school. She says, “What did you learn at school today”? She can append darling, dear, or honey to the question. Or she can add the prefix , dear, honey, darling, or any other word to the question. It is a hell of a lot cheaper than $74,000.00. No wonder we are in such bad shape.
I think that was tried once with out success, actually think that they would be in better shape if rising on a local level with national support and legal supports to fight the leftists locally.
I think you miss the point. She is trying to intervene before her child is assaulted.
