We’ve heard it’s the Republicans who are at fault for the return of the mask mandates and the spreading of the Delta variant. Well, liberals are saying that of course. It’s conservative media that’s fanning the flames. There’s more nuance to this problem and you all know. The least of it is not being that vaccinations have always been a sensitive topic in America. When it comes to kids, it’s even more intense. There’s also the aspect that a lot of people don’t like being told what to do and there is a limit in telling what adults can and cannot do in some areas. It’s a fact of life. Forty percent of New York City public school employees are unvaccinated. I doubt these are voracious readers of conservative media.
And now, the Left’s snobbery and incessant need to coerce people with whom they disagree is about to crash into the wall. Why? Well, are health care workers part of this supposedly unlearned pro-Trump cult? I ask because a significant number of them are not vaccinated. About a quarter of health care workers in the US have not received the COVID vaccine and don’t plan to any time soon.

Yes, I am definitely tired of people telling me not to get vaccinated so I can protect my vulnerable family members. I am tired of Tucker Carlson telling me to call CPS on parents who make their kids wear masks. I am tired of anti-vaxxers forcing their lifestyle on the rest of us by destroying vaccines. Not wanting to take the vaccine for yourself is one thing. Stopping other people from making that choice for themselves is another.

If someone is destroying vaccines in my town then yes, they are stopping me from doing as I please. Similarly CPS is well known for its lack of transparency and its heavy-handed tactics.

Your percentages would work IF 100% of the US population is vaccinated. I believe that your estimates are wrong. The last statistic that I have read stated that 28% of the black, male population in the US is vaccinated.
I imagine it is a little higher now but certainly not 50%. I also have seen that about 50% of the white male population is vaccinated. 37% of the Hispanic males, and about 60% of the Asian males.

I never said no one could get vaxxed, just that some people in that specific town could not get vaxxed as a result of that man's actions.
I'm still waiting for the links that show folks going to jail for not getting the vaccine. Some anti-vaxxers are arguing it's oppression to expect them to pay for their own COVID tests instead of expecting the taxpayer to foot the bill. If that's your definition of oppression, then I guess anti-vaxxers are indeed oppressed.

The fact about the 97% was in one of the papers that I read daily, WSJ, NYT, or NY Post, but most likely not the Post. I’ll look for it later. I already posted the fact on FR previously.
More important, I think, is something that I just read, from the CDC closed report that was leaked: Delta is probably more severe, as well as more contagious. Was in the Times today. The Post said severity was not mentioned, but they may have been looking at something else, or a shorter version.
That’s a pretty snarky remark, by the way, about the New York doctors, the best and most ethical in the world and where everybody comes when they are desperate for good care.
