If they tighten the screws, they create a black market. It’s already happening in France where medical professionals are selling vaccine cards. Where I live the sheriff deputy only makes $40K a year. Wouldn’t be hard to bribe law enforcement. Government restrictions make a ripe environment for tax free black market income.

And what happens when people can't feed their families and aren't allowed into the grocery store? They'll either force their way in, or come back when they're closed and steal it. I doubt most grocery stores make good enough margin to hire a full time 24/7 competent security force. So they'll let them in, not enforce it, and maybe call the cops if someone forces their way in. Leading to your "blaze of glory" if the cops really want to bother with this. But wait, many States and cities don't care / are going in the opposite direction. They'll tell the stores to call the feds if they need cops for this, but they're staying out of it.

How many stores even enforced the mask mandate all last year? Form my experience, Sprouts, Petco, Home Depot, medical places, and some restaurants (when open) were about it. No where else I went forced 'em. Do you really think they'll be more effective in enforcing something that's not easily determined by the interrogator?
