Washington police reform law forces deputies to call off K9 search for murder suspect

Police investigating a murder case in Washington state say they decided not to use a K9 dog in their search for the suspect after taking new reform laws into consideration.

"A K9 officer was on scene within minutes, but because probable cause had not been developed for a particular individual, they decided not to track for the possible suspect since they could not use force to detain him."

Vigilantism is unpleasant. But where the government does not do its job of protecting the people, it may become necessary.

Yes, indeed. But the problem is that the authorities will no longer look to other way when that happens. The criminal will be ignored. The vigilante will feel the full weight of the government.

It’s a hell of a mess.

And interestingly enough; the MyNorthwest news website has eliminated the comments section. You can no longer voice your opinion about news articles; I guess the moderator(s) kept getting their knickers in a bunch over conservative remarks the snowflakes removed the DISQUS comment section.
