China Discovers the Limits of Its Power
The Atlantic ^ | 28 Jul 2021 | Michael Schuman

“Chewing gum stuck on the sole of China’s shoes.” That’s how Hu Xijin, the editor of the Chinese Communist Party–run Global Times, described Australia last year. The disparaging description is typical of the disdain that China’s diplomats and propagandists have often shown toward governments that challenge Beijing—like Australia’s.

China is now the great power of Asia—or so Beijing believes—but those pesky Australians, mouthing off about human rights and coronavirus investigations, refuse to bend the knee. Beijing has turned to economic pressure to compel Australia to fall in line. “Sometimes you have to find a stone to rub it off,” Hu wrote, of the gum and of Australia. But the Australians have proved impossible to shake, and have instead caused some embarrassment for their image-obsessed tormentor.

The ongoing dispute between Australia and China may seem merely a bilateral affair, fought out in a remote corner of the planet. But it matters around the world....

A REAL president would make unmistakable statements about what actions by China would be unacceptable. He would make it clear to everyone involved that Chinese expansionism would be met with containment by an international coalition. A real president...that is...

How can anyone take China seriously when their President looks like Winnie the Pooh?

Because he is advancing the interests of China. He’s playing to win.

When our President looks like John Herbert from Family Guy.

China gets iron ore from Australia.

And will, if China respects Australia.

Wish we had one of those…again.

I don’t dislike China. The people are very hard working, and their government seems to be putting the best interests of their people first. Wow, I wonder what that must be like.

As long as those people are loyal CCP members, Han Chinese, and don’t believe in religion. The rest are sterilized, thrown in labor camps, tortured, raped, and executed for their organs.

Yeah. They love their people.

Australia would do well to arm it’s citizenry and develop a civilian marksmanship program, akin to what the Swiss have done. Not too many want to invade Switzerland, as the cost would be simply too high. China has discussed, at length, of conquering both America and Australia, to have enough land and resources for the future. It has been discussed at length, some 20 years ago, in a speech given by the Chinese defense minister to the CCP party elite. The general’s name was Chi Haotian, and the document is called “The Secret Speech of General Chi Haotian”. It is breathtaking in it’s utterly evil aims, and when one considers that many of the things he prognosticated to take over the world, have materialized, one sees that the Chinese are well along in their plans. You can find it here:

Long read, but worth every second if you want to truly understand how evil the Chinese truly are.

They have a different view of what prices are paid for the collective good (and the very definition of “good”) then do we, that much is certain.

I’ve wondered if we effectively have that here.

Bad time to consider that in Australia, didn’t they effectively disarm their civilians?
