Israel will reportedly begin offering a booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for people ages 60 and older, weeks after it opened up the availability of a third jab to at-risk populations. The move, reported via Israeli TV and radio but not yet published on the Ministry of Health website, comes amid a rapid rise in the delta variant.
Pfizer this week published data suggesting that a third dose of its vaccine would strongly boost protection against the delta variant. A preprint also suggested that efficacy dropped to about 84% about six months after the second dose.
Boosters remain a hotbed for debate in countries around the world, especially as health agencies investigate so-called breakthrough infections among vaccinated individuals and reinstate mask mandates in a bid to stop the spread.

My friend’s Mom just got diagnosed with the China virus, fully vaccinated with Pfizer 3 months ago..in her mid 60s..so I guess in Israel, the cure for rona is to turn everyone into a human pin cushion, maybe 20 boosters to stop the spread

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
For reference, Israel has an average of 1 COVID death per day now in a country of over 9 million people. If you scaled that up for the US population, it’d be about 33 deaths per day. We’re currently seeing over 300 deaths per day in the US.
So clearly Israel is doing something right.
So it’s perfectly normal to catch COVID after COVID Vaccination? Smallpox after the Smallpox vaccine? Polio after the Polio vaccine?
It’s normal to see a certain level of breakthrough infections within a given population, depending on the level of effectiveness of a particular vaccine.
If you give a million people a vaccine that’s 90% effective, and you would normally expect to see 500,000 infections within that population over a given period of time, you’ll see ~50,000 instead. So that’s 50,000 people who - despite being vaccinated - still contracted the illness for whatever reason. It could be that they’re immuno-compromised (e.g. cancer patient, organ donation recipient, AIDS patient, etc.) or have some other medical or genetic situation that leaves them vulnerable despite receiving the vaccination.
But that’s still 450,000 people who DIDN’T get infected, who would have if they hadn’t gotten vaccinated. And typically when you see breakthrough infections, the severity is significantly reduced for most. So if your disease normally kills 1%, then in an unvaccinated population of 1 million, you expect 500,000 infections and 5,000 deaths. If the vaccine further reduces the risk of death by 90%, then your vaccinated group sees 50,000 infections and 50 deaths. 50 deaths is a whole lot better outcome than 5,000.
But yes, you can still point to Bob Smith, Sally Doe, and Jose Rodriguez who got vaccinated, got sick, and died. And you can either say “see? the vaccine doesn’t work!”, you can look at the larger population and say “50 deaths is a better outcome than 5,000”.
Israel has many of the finest scientists in the world. Truly an outrageously disproportionate number of them.
Yet some here would have us believe these Jewish scientists are complicit in “taking the number of the beast” and/or participating in a genocide...they are all in on the vax.
How stupid a mind must be to conceive such things.
Or, maybe it is “working”. 😩
