In general a virus spreads, peaks, and wanes/mutates. The mutations become more infectious and less virulent.

But there have been “experts” stating that vaccinating in the midst of a pandemic, is unwise and risks generating more mutations, and perhaps even more virulent.

There is a reason they give the flu vaccine before the flu season.
