THEY TURNED THE REPS AWAY AT THE GATE AND TOLD THEM THEY WERE TRESPASSING!!!

Isn't it a D.C. prison? Not surprising they got turned away if it is.

The Federal government is the enemy of the American people.

Why is thread getting so few responses? Americans should be up in arms about this.

I think even the Geneva Convention means that these people have to be able to get visits from their country’s representatives. Even in their own country, I would assume…

I'm pretty sure they have the right to meet with their attorney and maybe their family. But I don't think inmates in prison have a constitutional right to see their congressman. Or someone else's congressman as the case may be.

Most probably don't even realize there are people in jail, not paying attention.

............all co-operation between marxist dems and patriot Repubs on the Infrastructure Bill should be put on hold until Gaetz, Gosar and Gohmert are able to do a walk through of the D.C. jail and talk to the Jan. 6 prisoners.

Sure Biden does not know this is happening. He is looking for his next scoop of ice cream. And just think 80 million people voted for him.

These Reps have no backbone. They should have called their bluff. If they were arrested, that would start a fire storm that I would want to jump on a plane and join the protest. It’s time to put a stop to the totalitarians.

Apparently only Democrats believe in their causes enough to get arrested protesting for them.

Nope. The FBI are on our side. The CIA are on our side. The Federal Police are on our side. If you don’t believe that, ask members of Free Republic.

Normally, anybody has the right to see their elected representative. Congressmen will visit their constituents if requested (or sometimes if not requested, but simply out of concern) and I don’t think they can be denied such permission.

People should be screaming their heads off about this abuse.

Heck, (Dem.) Rep. Leo Ryan (a good guy) visited the people at Jonestown, the mostly black American colony founded by the nutty white leftist dictator preacher Jim Jones in Guyana, and got gunned down for his troubles. Being denied at the door should make our Reps furious and they should be demanding accountability.

I’m writing to my congresscritter immediately.

I agree totally. Been saying that now for some time. The ‘trial’ is nothing but political show trial, but so are these Republicans who only just. Kw have anything to say about the political persecution the peaceful protesters have had to endure.

A prosecutor argued that n 18 year old protestor should be denied bail because ‘he was homeschooled’ and that that was likely where he learned to be violent’, and he was denied bail

Well, it *is* the only way.

I do not believe the military is 100% Trumpers, nor 100% Constitutionalists. But enough are, and well aware of the parts of the military that'll be forced to stand down, if they don't make the right choice.

I do trust that what is transpiring now is under some patriotic military eyes. They are not giving the keys to the CCP without a fight. And, fight they are... fight they will.

We are at war. Not declared, not even reported. Soldiers on our behalf have already perished.

What a horrible thought.

I believe all prisons have restrictions on visitors for inmates.

Regardless, the D.C. Prison is only doing video visits anyway. What with COVID and all.
