I hope YT doesn’t hide the new stream for a while like they’re wont to do. Several streams haven’t shown up until at least an hour into them and it ticks me off.

As soon as he mentioned the quake, I checked to see just where it hit and was relieved to see it as well away from Anchorage. Kathy’s had her share of “fun”.

He did seem to think that they were concerned about a tsunami, and I hope that doesn’t come to pass.

Kathy, “did you feel it”? :)

There’s one warning and a couple of advisories for AK and a watch issued for Hawaii. No reports of any tsunamis yet.

I guess it takes a bit for them to pass the buoys that collect the data. It could be headed heaven knows where.

I have no idea where the buoys are or if there are any up there at all. Just have to wait and see what happens.

We did enjoy our Applebee's supper. Best supper ever.

We stayed at the house because I had some items for Gizmo I ordered that we were waiting for and Fed-ex didn't arrive until past supper time. I did however take this picture of Gizmo yesterday.

We're under a Heat Advisory today as we were yesterday so no trips to the lake. We do plan on a ride in the country later today.

Well, at least you got to have a tasty supper to make up for not going out.

Maybe this will be the end of the heat advisories for a while. The heat’s supposed to start backing off Friday here so with luck, it’ll be the same for you. Then gizmo can get back out to find smelly spots to roll in. LOL

Good morning, radu...great video of really nice looking planes.

Haven’t seen ducks for the last 2 days....now I know why. I scared a hawk off a body when I went out on the deck....one single duck was quaking LOUDLY and LONGLY in the creek. In the few seconds I realized what I was seeing, he was beautiful...seemed to be a silvery color. He wasn’t dark like I’ve seen in the past. *sigh*

Hey there, Kathy.

Weren’t those some cool vintage planes? What a fun air show. They had to cancel tonight’s events due to a line of nasty storms roaring through. Most of the planes were flown out of the area so they wouldn’t get damaged or destroyed.

Poor duck! Darn hawk! It stinks when they get our lil buddies. We had one in the back yard a week or so ago and it was eating one of the cute little rabbits that live in a large clump of bushes just off the patio. It must have been the one that would let us walk almost up to it since we haven’t see it since that day.

That must have been that duck’s mate that was quacking by the creek. Sad little duck. :-(

Sounds like you’ve gotten little sleep the past couple of nights. Get comfy and get some good sleep now.

It was a whomper of a quake, no doubt. Fortunately far enough away it didn’t rattle y’all. It’s had some good-sized aftershocks.
Now to hope it doesn’t trigger that area around Big Lake and set off a quake that DOES rattle Anchorage.

Too far away to feel. I don't think a tsunami could ever get up the inlet to Anchorage.

The tremor struck about 91 km east-southeast of Perryville in Alaska. It was about 800 km (500 miles) from Anchorage, Alaska’s biggest city. It was followed by seven aftershocks, two of them above magnitude 6.0, according to USGS.

It’s up to 16 aftershocks now. Most are in the 4 range.
Aaaaaand another one just hit as I was typing. That makes 17 aftershocks. Looks like it’s going to shake for a while.

Well, we do have water again, but the walls are going to have to be cut down because they are waterlogged and could grow mold. I am not looking forward to it.
