I considered putting this under religion, but with all that we're watching Leftists do these days, it seemed appropriate under news/activism. Yes, they are. I think a lot of it has to do with many, many people who just want to be a part of the "In Crowd". They'll go along with the majority, and be a part of the "In Crowd", rather than take a stand for what's right against what's wrong.
