The city of Los Angeles on Wednesday used its emergency alert system to urge local residents to get vaccinated as officials express growing concern over a new surge in cases due in part to the highly transmissible delta variant.
Multiple L.A.-based journalists and local residents share screenshots on Twitter of the Public Safety Alert they received on their phone, reading, “COVID cases are rapidly rising.”
“Protect yourself, loved ones, and your community by getting vaccinated now,” the alert from the LA city government continued. “Vaccines are free, safe, and highly effective.”

Our greatest weapon against the coronavirus is Vitamin D: Board-certified pathologist (3.29.21, probably no lucrative government contracts to be made from making vitamin D3 imo.)
That system is meant to warn people of eminent danger. When they waste it on stuff like this, people stop paying attention to it. During Covid I was in Anaheim and we kept getting the emergency alert warning us to wear masks. Needless to say, I just deleted them without even looking at them.

With their history, if it were any other drug, it would be pulled off the market and the producers thrown in jail for fraud.
San Antonio also loves to abuse the emergency alert system. Nobody will pay attention when it really matters, crying wolf and all that.
They should use it to warn people to hold on to thier wallets whenever the State Legislature or City Council is in Session
