Amber English won the third gold of the Games for the US shooting team, who back home have joined forces with an ultra-conservative college
Amber English won the women’s skeet gold medal on Monday and Vincent Hancock triumphed in the men’s event, a day after Will Shaner was victorious in the men’s 10-metre air rifle. All set Olympic record scores.
The US is indeed the all-time medal leader, with roughly as many gold medals as the next three countries (China, Russia and Italy) combined. But Ginny Thrasher’s first-day success in the 10-metre air rifle was the US’s only shooting gold of the 2016 Games, while top-ranked Italy won four. I am so glad I went to the link because it was great to see those 2 Americans with their medals and the flag. God bless them.
An Olympic competition that requires the use of firearms and is totally dominated by the US? It’s only a matter of time before it’s removed as an Olympic event, gone the way of the tug-o-war and croquet.
They focus more on the quitter.
Are people actually watching the Olympics?
Not in my circle of friends...we choose to be unaware of the goings on in Japan.
I’ll have to read up on that. Thank you.
