(CNN)The US could see about four times the current rate of Covid-19 cases in the next four to six weeks as the Delta variant spreads and the population hits a wall on vaccinations, the former CDC director told CNN.
"We're heading into a rough time. It's likely, if our trajectory is similar to that in the United Kingdom, that we could see as many as 200,000 cases a day," Dr. Tom Frieden said, adding the US likely won't see the "horrific death tolls" of earlier in the pandemic thanks to the number of vulnerable people who are vaccinated. But, he said, "You will see a steady increase in deaths, and these are preventable deaths."

Of course but the “if” on no hospitalization won’t occur. It will occur. Hopefully, it will not be too bad but there will be people felled by the ChiCom Virus as this version is more transmissible.
So that means the people with underlying vulnerabilities: Obese, diabetes, heart & lung conditions are very much at risk.
Hopefully, the herd immunity in some places helps but the US is a big country. Herd immunity is not the same in area to area. There are openings for the ChiCom Virus to hit.

I know someone who was hospitalized this summer with Covid (steroid treatment no ventilator) and was not told which variant he had.
using the same tests that can’t differentiate tween ChinaFlu and the flu?

There is no shortage of vaccine. Everyone in the US has had the opportunity to make their own risk assessment and choose to vax or not.
So leave it at that. I have crisis fatigue from the media crying wolf, wolf, endlessly non-stop. Most of the information is wrong or hopelessly inflated into fear porn.

It’s a warning to us. Many in Western Europe are taking to the streets in major protests and unlike the Canadiens, are not taking it laying down.
In fact, expect those protests to get bigger. The globalists are seeking to impose their totalitarian will. The people are not rolling over.
