The sky is cryin’
Yes, in fact rainfall, drought, frost, and wild fires seem to be driving agricultural and food prices to act quite erratically.
This spring saw prices for grains and corn at unusually high price with the expected massive reserve purchases of grains by China,
.. and then prices slacked off with the creation of the economic 'cold war',.. with China purchasing globally, elsewhere.
Now, with all the various weather extremes throughout the world happening simultaneously, food prices are increasing, the supply chain is intermittent and erratic,
while China is 'sandbagging' supply and limiting economic growth of nations elsewhere (thru intentional production 'slowdowns'),
they find themselves needing to purchase grains, meats, and other products on the international market from other economic partners.
In essence, this puts a strain on the world's food supply during the various weather created anomalies .
Now, our own nations problem with inflation, when added to an international food shortfall and supply chain breakdown, here, at home, you create 'food insecurity'.
Seems to be a lot of flooding right now globally.
See “Grand Solar Minimum”.
No problem. Sausage to be soon exported to USA>
And a half dozen other deadly diseases they’ll ship over here.
Large scale world food shortages are coming soon.
All efforts to become as self sufficient as possible, stock up on staples, and ability to grow your own food, will be shown to have been a good thing to do.
How effective has your/our planning been? We may be finding out sooner rather than later.
P*$$ Poor Planning will result in P*$$ Poor Performance when the chips are down.
