By early March 2021, roughly 65 million people in the U.S. — or one out of every five people — had been infected by the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, a new analysis shows.
The findings, described in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, suggest that roughly 60% of coronavirus infections had gone uncounted at that point — adding to a growing body of evidence that the pandemic’s true toll is far greater than official tallies show.
“It’s good to see people start estimating how far we potentially could be off,” said Jennifer Nuzzo, an epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, who was not involved in the study.
Scientists have long been aware that the official coronavirus numbers don’t capture the full story. One study that looked at life insurance applicants suggested the number of cases might have been twice as high as the official tally; another model suggested that deaths worldwide were roughly double the reported count.

I would think that if you work at the National Academy of Sciences that you have some acronyms after your last name...MS PhD.
That being said, how in the f*ck can someone write such a thing? How does someone legitimately come up with that number? If they went uncounted, how in the world can you count them now? How can you come up with ANY number if you don’t know anything?
And, in reality, if that number were true, then the death toll would be staggering, yet the reverse is true. So this further deflates their agenda.
This country is in such disastrous shape, I don’t see a way out.
I’m a huge fan of a legitimate secession movement. Let the coasts and the northeast go to the liberals. I’m fine. Conservatives will have the Southeast coast and all along the Gulf. I’ve never been a fan, nor would I suggest the Boogaloo or anything like that. Folks just need to go their separate ways. Might have to ‘encourage’ a few, but with secession and recognizing that, as a Liberal, they’re on a very lonely island, they’ll move on their own.
But, I’m starting to think there is no way to avoid something bad from happening.

Yep. Who wants to bet that most of those Covid19 cases were, in fact, influenza. They turned the world upside down, mixing the flu numbers with the Covid19 numbers, terrifying millions, and preventing flu patients from getting the influenza antiviral medicine that would prevent worsening of the flu, or even prevent death from it. It is scandalous and outrageous. The people responsible for this should be charged with mass murder, and attempted mass murder.
It should worry EVERYONE just WHY they are pushing this vaccine down everyone’s throat I am extremely suspicious whenever the government pushes ANYTHING this damn hard!!
If someone got covid and the symptoms were no worse than the flu, would they self report or go to the doctor? I’ve never gone to a doctor for the flu.

No population in the world has had more than 20% infected symptomatically (if you are aware a country that did, please share).
Even the floating Petri dish Diamond Princess had less than 20% infected with symptoms.
I believe 80% have complete or partial immunity. Infections are asymptomatic and the infection perfects their immunity.

And these same 'scientists', whatever their specialization, have gone all political, demeaning anyone who questions their narrative as being at fault for everything COVID and its cousins. I am thankful the Dear LORD keeps the perfect record ... things done in secret are NOT secret to Him... A full accounting will be done.
Your post reminds me of my experience with car seats in CA. If a parent lives in a wealthy SF Bay Area suburb, their cars are scrutinized for proper car seat placement. If the parent is an illegal immigrant in the Central Valley, children ride in cars without car seats without issue.
Same now with covid and associated requirements (masks, shots):
One first has to believe that the positives tests are accurate. If so, it is pretty obvious that many many cases are never tested and go unreported.
I would think only one out of three positives are tested reported.
That’s great news. Herd immunity.
And the denominator continues to rise. And what happens when our denominator rises? Say it with me class…..
Exactly, the Case Fatality Rate that is. But even though deaths due to Covid are are mostly likely reported, esp. considering the liberal leeway the CDC allows for assigning Covid as the cause (as little as an unexplained cough plus living in a city of high infection rate. And for which hospitals can indeed obtain more gov. funding for), yet the Covidphobic response will be that .deaths are vastly under reported.
