By early March 2021, roughly 65 million people in the U.S. — or one out of every five people — had been infected by the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, a new analysis shows.
The findings, described in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, suggest that roughly 60% of coronavirus infections had gone uncounted at that point — adding to a growing body of evidence that the pandemic’s true toll is far greater than official tallies show.
“It’s good to see people start estimating how far we potentially could be off,” said Jennifer Nuzzo, an epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, who was not involved in the study.
Scientists have long been aware that the official coronavirus numbers don’t capture the full story. One study that looked at life insurance applicants suggested the number of cases might have been twice as high as the official tally; another model suggested that deaths worldwide were roughly double the reported count.

This is great news. First, it means 80% of the population did NOT contract Covid over the past year in spite of all of the media generated hysteria. It also means that over half of those who “had Covid”experienced either no or very minor symptoms. Excellent! This new data means the Case Fatality Rate is much lower than we’ve been told!

Now that they are admitting the denominator was way low, let’s fix the fact that the numerator is super inflated, and come up with honest covid mortality rate.
It’s already 99.8% survival rate - triple the denominator and it’s 99.93%
Then fix the numerator, which is probably 10 times inflated...
Survival 99.993%
Perhaps that's a good question for all the people that died of heart disease and didn't know they had it.

Six people in our house had COVID in December. All 4 adults tested positive using the nasal swab. The two children reported symptoms that were the same as the adults. This means that there were 50% more cases in just one house than were reported. So yeah they can’t possibly know how many actual cases there were because they can’t count unreported cases. We were all adhering to the protocols of masking at the time. It didn’t matter that we were using masks because one adult picked it up and it was transmitted through the entire house in matter of minutes.
We all survived with no lasting effects. Even the short term effects were no worse than a common cold or flu.
And speaking of the true toll, it will be hard to go back and reclassify all the deaths as COVID that were not because they already did that every time it was possible. The true toll then would be roughly half the fatality rate that they were advertising at the time. If it wasn’t for the dishonest media we would have thousands of experts embarrassed about being so wrong.
That also means the hospitalization and death rate is 1/2 (as a percentage).
