Former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said it’s possible that the US could turn the corner in the COVID-19 pandemic in the next few weeks — and follow the same trajectory as the United Kingdom, which has started to see cases plunge again.
Gottlieb said the US appears to be about three or four weeks behind the United Kingdom in the latest wave of cases, which has been driven by the highly contagious Delta variant.
“If you look at the UK, they do in the last seven days appear to be turning a corner. You’re starting to see a downward trajectory on the cases,” Gottlieb said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
“But if the UK is any guide, we are perhaps further into this epidemic and hopefully going to turn a corner in the next two or maybe three weeks,” Gottlieb added.

How many of us here know someone who has had this new variant? I don’t know of anyone.
Interesting. Nor do I. Funny that the FLU disappeared from the radar screen last year, as well. Amazing.
Last night I looked up the symptoms of the Delta variant. I’m pretty sure I had the original last January, after traveling home from Iraq. I don’t know if I lost my sense of taste because I felt so crappy I didn’t eat for 3 days. But, I felt as bad as I’ve ever felt in my life. I was hurting. 3 days of feeling like poo and I was fine.
Anwho....from what I remember the symptoms of the original were something like, body aches, fever, shortness of breath, etc etc. So, I looked up the symptoms of the dreaded Delta Variant. Same as the ones from the OG.
Am I missing something. And if I’m not mistaken, don’t viruses normally weaken as they mutate. I’ve heard someone say that they symptoms for the Delta variant are like hayfever.
Disclaimer......I realize and accept that the virus is very serious and/or deadly to some. I have a distant relative that died from complications of it. Although I’m not sure if he had anything else wrong with him. But it also has a 99.something survival(hate using that term) rate and of that, the majority “survive” without any medical intervention at all, other than some OTC drugs.
Personally I think all of this is just setting the stage for next fall to make sure the elections run exactly how the Democrats want them to run.
I’m predicting the big turn around will be just after the kalifornia recall vote.
Analysis of overall mortality, from civil records, can shed light on this, as this does not require medical or bureaucratic judgment.
Unfortunately this is not compiled in a timely or reliable way in the US.
They want to target Florida most of all, and pit it on DeSantis.

Strange that the PCR test has come under scrutiny and recalled at approximately the time Bill Gates and George Soros purchase a virus testing company out of England.

I was done with masks in March of 2020 and haven't looked back since.
Ominously, they seem to feel viral testing is going to a growth industry worthy of long term investment.
