And at the same time, thousands of veterans continue to wait for appointments that are weeks to months away; physicals for disability takes up to years!! I know this is true because it took me 20 years to defeat the stinking VA. I kept getting denied and I had to appeal to the Board of Veteran Appeals in Sodom on the Potomac. When you file your appeal, it takes anywhere between 3 to 5 years for the board to get to your case. Mine took 4. They came back that the local VA needed to do further investigation. I went to an exam at the Seattle VA office on a Saturday!!! The doctor there was some wanna-be a doctor. He was in the room with me and his exam lasted LESS THAN THREE MINUTES!!! He tapped my knee with that little red hammer a couple of times, lifted my arm up and told me to drop it. And said he would file his report and left!!! My wife and I were sitting there, mouths open, going what the hell just happened???!!! Again I was denied by the Seattle VA Office. AGAIN I appeal!!! This time it took three years. This time I WON!!! The Board just flat said they got it wrong, that the evidence of my exam was a farce, that my military health records backed up all my claims and awarded me 70% disability!!! The stinking Seattle office was POed. But who gives a tinkers damn, I won. But the VA continues to do this to we veterans today. A guy that I know local, a vet injured in Iraq, has been fighting the VA for years. Same crap. WHY DO WE NEED PEOPLE like the Wounded Warriors Group??? ISN’T the stinking VA suppose to take care of these wounded veterans??? Ain’t that their stinking job???? Must not be anymore since we need Wounded Warriors to help all these injured vets. Yeah, I don’t like the VA. The mess out in Arizona a few years back when all those vets died waiting for stinking appointments!! Yeah, I don’t like the VA.
