Even if the CCP never used the bio engineering tech for military purposes , Fauci was insane to fund this tech transfer because the Chinese are not technically or culturally capable and disciplined to safely conduct this kind of research and pathogen manufacturing even if their motives are noble - which it is not

I haven’t been following much of anything that Fauci says, only reading articles on here and other places. Lightly keeping up with what Sen Paul is doing to him, confident that the current admin and AG will protect him as he assisted in serving their purposes.
That being said, it’s pretty obvious that Fauci, et al, never once thought they’d ever be in a position to have to answer questions. Just like the criminals in the FBI and DOJ, trying to frame the President, thought they’d never get caught.

It’s like granting Chinese laboratories money to develop nuclear technology because the cost of labor was cheaper in China and there were fewer environmental and safety restrictions. That included a presumption of information confidentiality and that the technology would be used strictly for peaceful purposes.
