For the second time in his last five events, Jon Rahm has been forced to withdraw because of a positive COVID-19 test. Rahm's positive came in the final round of testing protocols ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, meaning the top player in the world will not compete in his first Games for Spain.
Rahm last tested positive during the Memorial Tournament in June, an event at which he held a six-stroke lead after Round 3. Though he had to withdraw, he went onto win his next event at the U.S. Open and recently finished T3 at The Open Championship.
"I've been fortunate to represent my country and win a championship for Spain around the world as an amateur. Playing in Tokyo would have given me a chance to win an Olympic gold medal for my country," Rahm said Sunday in a statement. "I would have loved to have been the first Spanish Olympic gold medalist in golf, but unfortunately destiny had other plans. This is a great reminder for all of us that we're still in a pandemic, things are not over, and we still need to fight together to get through this the best we can."

I don’t know about an indictment of the vaccines but, IMHO, we’re at the point where a positive “test” result does not equal illness or even active infection. We’re past the point in the US where we should be willy nilly testing asymptomatic people.
Oh no, there goes Tokyo, go go Godzilla! - BOC

No upfront mention of Rahm being vaxed. Strange.
There is no macro statistical data showing vax success.
He was fully vaccinated before he tested positive the 1st time. Now positive again!
When will we start to learn how many amplification cycles were needed before the testing sample reached the threshold level to call it a positive? Until the CDC starts doing that, I don’t believe anything they say.
Aruba, Jamaica …..
I wonder how many would test + for HIV. And they would have nothing to worry about.
Good grief...
Get the feeling we’ve been sold a pile of horse sh!t?
Both the virus and the vaccine hysteria is off-base:
1. As usual, no report of symptoms to justify virus hysteria.
2. Testing positive with no symptoms or light symptoms after a vaccination does not show that the vaccine did not work.
The tests?? I suspect something seriously wrong with them
Right. But, but this is the SECOND time he’s tested positive since he’s been vaccinated. He had to withdraw from the Memorial Tournament (even though he had a comfortable lead at the end of the 3rd round) because of a positive COVID test. Five weeks later, he tests positive again.
That’s what’s so incredibly unusual.
