I used to work for designline and Charlotte. We made electric buses also. Designline went out of business by a complete surprise in 2013 I think it was. I had worked there for a year and a half. A lot of the guys said that they were going to be going to proterra.

CNG is the way to go.
It’s clean, cheap, reliable.
The engines are modified diesels.
The last CNG truck I drove was a 2014 Kenworth T440. It was recently sent off to auction due to meeting the age/mileage requirements my company has. The new 2021 KW T370 diesel that replaced it doesn’t pull as well as the CNG despite having a higher HP rating.

Albuquerque got screwed by some electric bus company called Build Your Dreams (BYD) out of Californicatia. The buses were made in China. All of them had some issue or another. $133 million into thin air.
