CNSNews.com) - The Senate Armed Services Committee this week voted 23-3 to send the $777.9-billion National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2022 to the Senate floor.
Among the provisions, the bill "Amends the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women for Selective Service," just as all men in the United States must register when they turn 18.
(House Republicans in 2016 rejected a measure requiring women to register.)
The Senate requirement for women to register follows a March 2020 report from the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service, established by Congress to study the issue of potentially drafting women, among other things.
The Commission concluded that "the time is right to extend Selective Service System registration to include men and women, between the ages of 18 and 26. This is a necessary and fair step, making it possible to draw on the talent of a unified Nation in a time of national emergency."

They are MONSTERS
I don’t see a problem. The draft does not mean automatic combat service. Women could be drafted and serve in support roles, freeing up men for the front.
If women demand equality, they should get equality.
When a man identifies as a woman...
shouldn’t all the other 24 genders be required as well?
We’ve learned enough from the 19th amendment.
The law has no meaning in a country where you can change your birth record to show a false sex, or an “X” in its place.
Oh sure. The government gets a whole bunch of young women available to serve and they will use them, however they want to and they don't care what happens or what effects their service will cause as long as their own precious skins are well-preserved.
Never mind that women would be useless in direct combat and their presence interfere with any sort of unit cohesion. Never mind that millions of young kids are left home, often parentless, while mom is off getting killed or maimed. Never mind that the battles they are funnelling them off to are being lost - because at that point we have lost any semblance of civilization and we have already lost that war.
This is great - wait till all those young women graduating high school find out the Dems made them all register for the draft. I’m guessing some won’t be too happy about that....
[”...require the registration of women for Selective Service,” just as all men in the United States must register when they turn 18.]
Good. Freedom isn’t free. Neither is equity. Play stupid ‘Rat games, win stupid ‘Rat prizes.
We have female Rangers and Boat Guys now, why wouldn’t we have females register? They can do anything men can do, right? Watched a downright horrible movie the other night where the CO of DEVGRU was a woman! Countries all over the world have compulsory military service and that service includes females. I don’t have a problem with this.
Um yeah... this is going on RIGHT NOW and these females volunteered for it. I served for 20 years and had females at every single command. With the exception of one or two drama queens, those women were good mugs. Rock solid. One of them was one of the Navy’s best 5” gun mechanics. She is now a big wig in Dahlgren.
When a man identifies as a woman...
....gosh, it could have been so much easier back in the day, if all of those anti-Vietnam War people had just ‘identified’ as trannies. The Klinger effect.
While I normally do not like the idea of drafting women, as it will just perpetuate the idea that women are interchangeable with men, we are never going back to the traditional roles of women and men of days past.
With the complete integration of women in all professions, even some where they had to lower the physical standards to get them there, singling out men only for the draft is simple discrimination at this point.
Women want equality and freedom to do anything, it’s time they step up and take on the burdens as well. This is a very small step towards that.
It’s not the world I want, but its what we have, and there’s no going back.
I think, this may turn out great!
Karen’s may, maybe, reconsider their leftwing tendencies.
Got any conception of what combat entails? You might read up on the Hurtgen Forest, or Tarawa, or Iwo , or Hue City to come up to speed.
That said, there are many types of positions in the armed forces that don't require brawn. And I am not talking about administrative, either. Ever see a lady auto mechanic? Amazing what some of them have done.
If the military lets women in combat positions then why can they not be drafted?
This.🤔
