MOSCOW, July 22 (Reuters) - The Gamma variant of the novel coronavirus, first found in Brazil, has been detected in small quantities in Russia, the Interfax news agency cited the developer behind Russia's EpiVacCorona vaccine as saying on Thursday.
Russia faces a surge in coronavirus cases that authorities have blamed on the Delta variant and the slow rate of vaccinations. On Thursday, Russia reported 24,471 new COVID-19 cases and 796 deaths related to coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
EpiVacCorona, Russia's second of four vaccines to be registered, was developed by the Vector Institute in Siberia. Sputnik V is Russia's flagship vaccine.
"The Delta variant is widespread on the territory of the Russian Federation, with isolated cases of the Gamma variant detected," Interfax cited the institute as saying.

The problem: Russians don’t trust the Sputnik V vaccine, even though it has a proven 90% plus efficacy rate.
What happens when they get to the Zeta variant and have gone through the alphabet?

I believe it is one of the most effective vaccines out there. It is based on older, proven technology, similar to Johnson and Johnson, but affords better protection. They both use an adenovirus vector.
I think they’ll do with The Andromeda Strain (1971).

They are going to bring out/discover/announce new variants of CV every so often, 2-6 months, and they will keep this thing going for YEARS. CV grants governments an entirely new way to supplant or go around virtually all Constitutional limits and/or all existing laws, and that goes for literally every gov’t in the world.
