Exclusive: Is satellite footage of attacked Iran facility being blocked?
Jerusalem Post ^ | July 21, 2021 | YONAH JEREMY BOB

It is possible that few US satellite imagery services withheld images of Iran's nuclear facility in Natanz.

It is starting to look like certain US satellite imagery services may have withheld high-resolution images of Iran’s nuclear facility at Karaj on June 23, which Tehran eventually blamed on Israel.

......Snip....

One reason it is possible that US companies might withhold such images could be that their primary customer is the US government, and it could, even informally, send certain “shutter control” signals. Why all of this would be occurring is even more speculative, but one reason could be to help the Islamic Republic preserve the veneer of mild damage to its nuclear program.

The US wants to cut a deal with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear deal, and part of getting to yes with the regime may be various face-saving measures.

If the ayatollahs wish to present the deal to their public as occurring from a position of strength and not desperation, they might want to cover up how badly the Karaj nuclear facility was damaged. In terms of what actually happened at Karaj, the extent of the damage to Iran’s nuclear program is still under debate.

However, a review of Iran’s conduct in this and similar cases of low-resolution imagery and of knowledgeable sources leans toward the conclusion that major harm was caused

I think this is an important article because it discloses the fact that there was great, perhaps irreparable, damage done to the Iranian nuclear facility at Nantz.

It discloses the fact that Iran lied about the magnitude of the damage to save face

It discloses American secrecy to gain some leverage in the Nuclear Treaty Negotiations

What it really tells us is that the Biden Administration is grasping at straws and is totally irrelevant in the Mid East and dealings with Iran

Smeone else has already accomplished what Biden is pretending to do

Of course they lied...all repressive regimes lie all the time because to ever admit a problem is in their eyes is to appear weak and that is one thing which terrifies them. Look to our own Democrats for a perfect example.

The French will sell satellite images of anything to anyone.

I agree that the Democrats want Iran to be a nuclear power. I spoke to a retired State Department employee and about Iran going nuclear he said, “Well, the Russians have nukes and they’ve never used them. (I could picture him sticking out his tongue here.) Why shouldn’t the Iranians be able to balance against American hegemony?” I wish I could describe his body language when he said that. It was swishy gay Itoldyousoyou’vebeenwrongallalong. He was an absolute idiot who had spent a career “advising” higher level people. What a waste of taxpayer dollars.

My point, the point I’m trying to make, is that the gay swishy State Dept type is irrelevant. Nothing he says or can do has any actual results beyond current media reporting

Iran is not going to have nukes and nothing the retired guy or his current colleagues is pretending to do is relevant.

The problem is currently and has always been solved by “others”

If I knew who those ‘others’ were, I’d buy them a beer.

“The problem is currently and has always been solved by “others””

I had this confirmed by a renter who rode home a plane from Iraq that stopped in Israel. In the last days of the second Bush administration, he had a huge number of bunker buster bombs that had not been used in the Gulf War delivered to Israel. Unrelated to the above, he had the CIA set up a hacking attack against the German made centrifuges. He forced the Germans to cough up the code running them. Before he left office he reassigned the entire operation to the Israelis. The result was called Stuxnet.

As an aside, bombing the well intrenched and defended Iranian bomb project from the air would be almost impossible for Israel. Their planes would need to refuel coming and going and the Iranians would have ample warning. The bombs are big and heavy and the Israeli planes would be hampered by the fuel and bomb load so snap maneuvers of the type required in that threat environment would be impossible. So the Israelis have taken the only route possible.

In a war, though, the first target would be easy and simple to destroy...the Iranian oil assets. Kill them and you kill the regime. (Oh, my God! Carbon footprint. We’reallgonnadie!!!)
