Dr. Anthony Fauci has said Sen. Rand Paul is 'out of tune with reality' and and blasted the Kentucky Republican for making 'inflammatory' and 'slanderous' remarks during Tuesday's fierce exchange in a Senate hearing.
Paul accused Fauci of funding 'gain-of-function' research in China's Wuhan lab and then lying under oath in front of Congress, which Fauci adamantly denied. The men exchanged words and each called the other a liar.
The usually even-keeled Fauci was still fired up during a Wednesday appearance on MSNBC's 'The Beat' with Ari Melber, who pointed out Fauci's fiery response was such a contrast to his public demeanor.

No slander. Fauci didn’t answer the question as to why the experiment described, that he authorized funding to, didn’t meet the ‘gain of function’ definition. All he said was HIS “qualified” people in HIS chain made that determination. OK, let’s get those people to testify to congress too. I want the names of ‘those’ people too. If Fauci is saying Rand isn’t even qualified to ask the question...then let us gather your people and ask them to explain themselves.

There is another place that is a free for all when it comes to making accusations. The courtroom.

I want to see in wwriting the phrase, “crimes against humanity”, in relation to Fauci when official charges are made. In bold type.

Yep. At least DOCTOR Paul has seen patients in the recent past. Fauci went to the Research side immediately and has been raking in the money FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE.

Fauci’s reaction to Senator Paul reminds me of this quote,
“The louder he spoke of his virtue, the faster we counted our spoons.”
