G, Mich. (AP) — Republican ex-Detroit Police Chief James Craig all but launched his campaign for governor on Wednesday, seeking to become Michigan’s first Black governor with a “law-and-order” message and emphasis on leadership.

Craig, the eighth Republican to form a candidate committee, is the best known and is considered a serious contender, albeit untested in electoral politics. A former Democrat, the 61-year-old would be just the second Black major-party gubernatorial nominee if he wins the 2022 primary and faces Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Once again, 95+% of black voters vote for the deranged agenda of the Democrat party.

I’ll leave it at that. Perhaps you only personally know the 4-5% who don’t.

So says another likely leftist agent provacateuer, and there are lots of them here, who seem to find faults in all the R’s the dems are most desperatly afraid of. Its amazing how often this happens.

I guess you would feel the same way about Ronald Reagan; I mean he was a Democrat for the vast majority of his life and political career before he saw the light and switched to the R party.

The one thing your post does strongly indicate is that you’re not a very deep thinker; you’re an emotionally driven person. You really need to start thinking and doing less emoting.

One thing I’ve learned in life is if one follows their heart and emotions one will always be led astray because so much emotional behavior is simply irrational, something the typical emotion based person never seems to figure out.

Don’t get angry, I’m just trying to help.

I’v never believed that. Do you realize how skewed the black vote is every due to fraud? And considering how polsters always skew their results I have no doubt the exit pollsters, who drive the numbers you’re talking about, do the same thing. Let me ask you, do you believe the polls are accurate, or are they delibretly skewed to favor Dems and the left. If you think the political polls are being delibretly skewed against R’s and conservative issues why would think the other numbers driven by pollsters, such as the 95% of blacks number, would be accurate?

Should read: “Do you realize how skewed the black vote is every election due to fraud in the inner city districts which are all run by corrupt democrats?

We lived in South Lyon for three years. Worked at US Steel in Ecorse. Loved South Lyon, hated the mill with a passion.

I’d love to think you’re right, but from what I’ve seen in the university setting, in my career in law enforcement, and in conversations with black people in all my interactions, I’m convinced that the 90-95% black support for the Dem party is accurate. The few black Trump supporting Republicans are just so very visible, perhaps they look more numerous. But they aren’t. They are anomalies.

Well, in his case he took a very public and unpopular position on 2A and was a very good Chief.

Detroit has had a succession of police chiefs ranging from utterly incompetent to utterly corrupt.

If I still lived in Michigan, he’d be on my short list.

“Ronald Reagan; I mean he was a Democrat for the vast majority of his life and political career before he saw the light and switched to the R party.”

Wrong. Reagan switched parties as a fairly young man.
