A columnist for the Washington Post admitted on Tuesday that Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was correct in Tuesday’s heated back and forth between the senator and Dr. Anthony Fauci over the White House chief medical adviser’s denial of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“Hey guys,@RandPaul was right and Fauci was wrong. The NIH was funding gain of function research in Wuhan but NIH pretended it didn’t meet their ‘gain of function’ definition to avoid their own oversight mechanism,” Josh Rogin, a columnist for the Washington Post, said Tuesday.
“SorryNotSorry if that doesn’t fit your favorite narrative,” he added

When you lose a Washington Post Communist...
Fauci may be wrong and he, most likely, will remain wrong, but he will never lose his job. The same can be said about federal employees.(perfumed politicians)
Fauci set up the Covid treatment, now Fauci should get the Mussolini treatment.
The curious thing here...it was American funding, NIH ‘goals’, Fauci leadership, and marginal safety standards at the Wuhan lab that got all of this to our front door.
If I were the Chinese leadership...realizing how they got dragged into this....I’d probably have a very negative view of Fauci and NIH.
Fauci covering up
WATCH: Anthony Fauci’s Presentation of Gain-of-Function Research on Viruses
He presents a slide from a New York Times editorial “An Engineered Doomsday” which pointed out if a virus escaped a lab it could kill millions.

The most interesting part of this is the “what did he mean by that” question that people, including myself, have over this.
If this Rogin character, whom by all accounts is a standard off the assembly line liberal drone, is making a value call on some congressional testimony, it can’t just be him admitting that someone who votes differently than him shares a viewpoint, it has to have an ulterior motive. That’s garbage. Sometimes people can see what is actually screwed up and work past their team sports alignment to say something is seriously screwed up.
On the other hand, this guy got word that the walls just might be closing in on Fauci if some very sensitive questions get asked and he answers truthfully ... and he wants to get in on that angle early.
Wrong - as in lied to Congress? Lock ‘im up.
I see Fauci as having “worked around” the prohibition against funding gain of function research. Fauci believed, wrongly, that this research needed to be done, so he gamed the beaurocratic system and funded an NGO non-profit to carry out his dirty funding scheme. It’s money laundering grants, so that if the SHTF there’s a layer of “plausible” deniability between himself and the lab that does this gain of function research. Why he ever chose to collaborate with the Chinese opens a whole can of worms about his motivations.
No, this is throwing Fauci under the bus to save whom? It anti Joe...... who could it be? Who was President when this happened in his last weeks in office?
You can't expect WAPO to actually get the story right.
Fauxi's paid to be the fall guy like any government bureaucrat. The problem for him, and for his handlers, is that the deaths from the bio-weapon are crimes against humanity at the level of Stalin, Hitler, and Mao.
Fauci needs to slip off this mortal coil.
