A list of 41 candidates running the California recall election released by the state on Saturday did not include Larry Elder, the conservative radio talk show host who declared his candidacy on Monday.
The election is set for Sept. 14 to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom, after over 1.7 million Californians signed recall petitions. Newsom's campaign missed a deadline to submit his Democratic party affiliation for the ballot, and a judge ruled that he could not add it afterwards.
The list of candidates is missing Elder, a Republican. According to a statement from Elder's campaign spokeswoman, Ying Ma, "she expected him to be on the final list of candidates issued next week," Fox News reported. In a statement, she said: "Our campaign submitted every document required by the Secretary of State and the Los Angeles County Registrar" to qualify for the ballot.
It is still unclear as to what requirement Elder failed to meet, according to Fox News.
There are currently 21 Republicans on the ballot, with eight Democrats, a Libertarian, nine independents, and two Green Party candidates.
Not surprised. They fear him. He can win.
They are eff’n’ with him, just as I predicted.
Trying to run the clock out.
“We haven’t received your Form A49, A50 and A52 respectively.
After a thorough search of our Sacramento office, we still have yet to find your submittals. Please resubmit all requested forms so that we may conduct a final review of your application.”
**I know firsthand how bureaucrats can behave when they want to stop something lawful from happening.
From some reports, he failed to get the paperwork in. He did announce just a few days ago.
Yeah, but there’s a lot of times when it is the applicant and not the bureaucrats who are actually screwing up. And he announced *really* late from some reports, perhaps too late to properly file.
Why waste him on a gub slot?
Run him against DifiChi or Schiffty for her Senate seat.
True. That campaign train may have already left the station.
All Aboard!!
Splitting the GOP vote between 22 candidates (with Elder added)...not a great setup.
As reported earlier today. Wait and see.........

Question Did Larry Elder File on Time to be on Recall Ballot? #2
As another freeper had pointed out, CA patriots are not only trying to get Newsom out of governor's office, but trying to keep him out of Oval Office as well.
Funny thing there was a video of him filing the paperwork?
Bttt
> It is still unclear as to what requirement Elder failed to meet, <
I guess he failed to meet the requirement of being a guaranteed loser to some Democrat.
How freaking convenient.
( for the commies )
This tells me the only non bought and owned person is now not on the ballot.
Forget it cuz, it’s california.
Or should I say chinafornia.
Elder is clearly full of “disinformation” and as such needs to be canceled.
It’s for the Greater Good.
But he still emails me constantly...?
Hopefully someone can track him down... LOL.
In the FR home county the filing deadline was last Friday July 16th.
Only 2 GOP candidates on the Fresno Co. ballot...”LOUIS JOSEPH MARINELLI” and “NICKOLAS WILDSTAR”....may be more added that filed right at the deadline.
Doesn’t mean that he filed all of it or that he filed correctly. One of my clients is dealing with an IRS problem where the (older) accountant filed papers on time but did not fill out the forms properly in some cases and did not file some required forms at all “because I don’t see why the IRS needs this information.” But, they insist, they filed on time!
The problem with filing last minute is that if you screw up you often have no time to correct it. This wouldn’t be the first time this happened to a would-be candidate, even.
That’s what happened to Thaddeus McCotter. I think he resigned rather than finish out his term. Might of been his plan. He was an up and comer.
