Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, a Republican, said the state Senate doesn’t have the ability to recall electors for the Nov. 3, 2020, election, after a fellow Republican lawmaker called for new elections.
Fann told One America News Network (OANN), which has been covering the audit of Maricopa County, that the upper chamber has the ability to provide auditors with the materials they need—including through the use of subpoenas—but the certification of electors is a different matter.
“The Senate body—we do not have the authority to do that. So, this is what we have said, and I want to make this very clear on the record,” the Republican state leader said on July 16.
Fann’s comments came as former President Donald Trump issued a statement declaring that the audit revealed there were irregularities and fraud that would have swayed the election in his favor last year. On July 15, the Senate held a hearing in the midst of a months-long review carried out by Florida-based tech firm Cyber Ninjas and teams told lawmakers they discovered discrepancies.
Doug Logan, CEO of Cyber Ninjas, told senators that auditors couldn’t find any record of Maricopa County sending more than 74,000 mail-in ballots and also discovered that around 18,000 people voted, but were taken off voter rolls “soon after the election.” He also noted that there were “11,326 people who were not on the voter rolls on Nov. 7, 2020, but appeared on the rolls on Dec. 4, 2020, and 3,981 people who voted after registering after Oct. 15, 2020.”

p
Weeks wasted on the audit, and now this comes out. The DEMs are laughing their asses off. No one is touching them or the 2020 election.
Going to get real ugly as the American people get more and more pissed.
SURE!
so get out of the way and let the voters recall them
You believe McCain Rinos?
You're full of it. Exposing the election fraud absolutely necessary to prevent from happening again.
Only someone that wants it covered up opposes the audit.

At least they could void their Senate election and run it again.
Since it’s never been attempted before, they won’t know if they don’t try. Generally, the AG represents the legal interests of the state. That doesn’t mean that both houses of the legislature can’t pass a resolution about the matter and let the courts sort it all out. If the election was corrupted, it also likely means that the wrong senator, and possibly other House seats, got certified fraudulently. In that case the state of AZ was without its proper representatives in Congress, which affected the whole certification debate on Jan. 6th.
By what mechanism? Everyone goes outside and yells, “I recall you?”
Do you think her statement is embedded in actual law?
So I hack into the lottery system computers and fraudulently win $250M. The state certifies my ticket and pays me my winnings. Six months later a savoy computer guy discovers I rigged the system and outs me. But, the lottery commission certified my win so nothing will happen to me. Some how I don’t think it would work that way. Should be no different in this case and anyone who says different should face sever consequences.
Total BS. They don't want to do what's right.
Yes, I agree!
If the intent was to prevent the voter fraud from happening again (or at least greatly minimizing it), then it wasn’t wasted time. But soooo many believed this was going to reverse the electors from AZ, then ripple to other states. Not happening.
If the Arizona Constitution is silent on such matters then the state legislators should make the decisions on electors fraudulently certified.
Other than the Presidential electors, how about all of the others on the ballot? How many of them were effected by the criminal acts of the State Board of Elections. And are indictments being prepared for the bad actors to face the bar of justice?? Just wondering!!
After the electors cast their votes, there is no way to change them. All the audits will do is reveal the depth of the cheating.
