Ah, but Mel is a lifelong Roman Catholic and doesn't cite the exact time he was "born again" and "saved". He was baptized as a baby, which is "not a Christian baptism" and "only results in a baby with a wet head", according to many "Christians" on here. Numerous evangelical protestant FReepers have informed me that their definition of "Christian" is someone who was "born again" at some tent revival type event and "knows the exact moment they were saved"
Catholics DO have the sacrament of Confirmation where they make a lifelong pledge to follow Jesus and accept the Holy Spirit into their lives, but somehow that doesn't count and is "unbiblical" (even though its mentioned in the Bible)
Thus, Mel is "not a Christian" in their eyes.
