Everything old is new again. Haven’t heard the term “misery index” in awhile.
“They” seem to benefit from a lousy economy?
The honest little guy, who they pretend to care about, not so much?
Is anyone surprised?
I remember how Jimmy Carter used the misery index in 1976 against President Ford in the campaign.
But when running for reelection in 1980, having presided over a much worse misery index, Jimmy never mentioned it.
Biden inflation, the CPI-W index for February through June, is running at an annualized rate of 12.5%. That puts the misery index at 18.4%. I don’t understand why republicans allow the media to dilute the true inflation rate with 7 months of Trumps much lower numbers.
I’m not seeing much misery in my neck of the suburban woods. It’s party like it’s 1929 here. Full employment, government dropping money from helicopters, stock market up, home values way up, etc. Not a bad start to our post Constitutional republic.

Well, MY misery index has been pegged in the RED ever since Sloe Joe and The Hoe were declared “winners!”
