The political scene is evolving so quickly that I presume to offer some advice to President Trump: He can now win in 2024 by being the potential candidate of calm and moderation.
The Democrats have become a Babel of contending extremists, suddenly and implausibly blaming the Republicans for defunding police forces and miraculously discovering the virtues of voter identification, after having denounced it for six months as the resurrection of Jim Crow. The utter moral bankruptcy of many elected Democrats was captured in the Texas state legislators fleeing the state in private planes, excitedly taking selfies of themselves unmasked and grinning, to avoid being compelled by law to make a quorum in the state legislature and pass judgment on a voting reform measure.
Things are not altogether more settled on the other side, however. There are a number of prominent Republicans who are clearly qualified to be president, including Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida and former Vice President Mike Pence. Yet Trump effortlessly prevailed over both of them and every other listed contender in a recent CPAC poll of potential candidates for president in 2024. The uncharacteristically incautious comments of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) that, in effect, the dreadful Trump specter had passed and they could all go back to being the good-natured losers of the Bush-McCain-Romney eras was effectively retracted within a few days. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) has disgraced herself by joining the Trump-hate operation of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and, in Republican terms, is sinking without a ripple as a consequence.
Meanwhile, with the political left’s Supreme Court-packing threat appearing to fade, the court’s justices have blown away the Democrats’ plan to assure their own permanent incumbency through unverifiable ballot-harvesting.

I always thought Trump was calm and moderate anyway.
Duh, it The Hill.
I think you are in denial about the damage that President Trump sometimes caused himself.
Not really... I know there were a few times he hurt himself. But you’re in denial how often the press blew the simplest statement completely out of proportion. Let’s inject bleach in arms, Hydroxychloroquine will kill every man, women and child on the planet. Mueller is out to get him. Comey needed to be fired. The lies and statements that was blown out of proportion is endless.
But when you’re under attack, isolated, and alone you’re going to make a few mistakes defending yourself. When every law enforcement, government agency, political actors (both parties), and major media is out to destroy, sometimes you might lash out.
But if I were a betting man, I would bet you can’t name 10 of these destructive tweets (remember there were thousands).
Hell, Biden can not complete a sentence even when he is reading off a teleprompter, his policies are destroying America, and there is a secret cabal running the country (Biden is incapable of making a reasoned decision) and the media is silent and all government actors are silent (both sides of the isle). We have a demented President with his finger on the nuclear button and you can hear a pin drop about all his misteps.
“ But you’re in denial how often the press blew the simplest statement completely out of proportion.”
You do realize you just proved my point.
Unfortunately President Trump kept talking during times he should have just laid back and basked in whatever good news his administration had that day. He too often diverted away from his succcesses and played right into his enemies hands by talking and tweeting too much. It was red meat for the base like us but poison for the middle of the road crowd who you need on your side to win elections.
Retarded piece. Fraud was the reason he lost, not anything else.
This HAS been going on for quite a while!
I meant a shooting one.
There is a lot of shooting going on now, but it’s the ones who tend to vote Liberal that are waging war against each other.
The only way Trump can win again is if America has a legitimate election again. But true elections may be a thing of the past.
Trump doesn’t need to win again. He already won.
Trump imho was the only one to keep Hillary out of her life long dream
