TRENTON, New Jersey -- New Jersey on Monday unveiled a phone app that lets people keep track of their COVID-19 vaccination card digitally.

Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy announced the app called Docket during a news conference in Trenton. He said it's not meant to serve as a passport, and instead will serve as a backup in case people lose their paper vaccination cards.

Murphy is a moron. When they issued the vaccination card why could’nt they laminate the damn thing make it the size of a drivers license and there you have it Problem solved. Instead what do they get I am sitting here wondering what else they have in store for us.

Oh yea? Then why not offer the same "app" for our drivers licenses, vehicle registration, building permits, etc?

We would never ‘require’ that. But businesses are welcome to do what they wish to protect the public. BOOM! Plausible deniability. “We didn’t mandate it!”

Why does anyone need a vaccination card to begin with? He asked, knowing the answer.

I remember way back when they told us in New Jersey that the new seat belt law would only result in a ticked if you were pulled over for anything other than not wearing a seat belt and were observed then to not be wearing one. You'd never be pulled over just for a seat belt. People thought 'that makes sense, of course we should have this law'.

That lasted a couple of years. Now 35 years later they have cameras that automatically give people tickets when they are seen on camera not wearing one. They also pull you over for nothing at all and then write you up for a seat belt violation even when you didn't have one to justify the fishing expedition (happened to me TWICE)

Never trust the government when it says it wants to do something than can be abused but they promise it never will be used that way.

Bingo, why would I need the app or paper document if the intention is not to use it as a passport for entry into buildings, events, etc?
