They will as long as they get food, weapons, fuel…and Biden is doing his best to ensure that. He just quietly lifted the sanctions on VZ, so the Maduro regime can go back to keeping Cuba supplied with all of the above.

I don’t know why this hasn’t gotten more comment. It was done stealthily, so that the Dems could get Biden to make some statement about “the Cuban people,” but so that he via VZ could continue to prop up the Cuban Communists. But no fingerprints.

I think at some point it becomes a "Why bother?" moment, as the regime's supporters and realize that the status quo is untenable, and there is no good outcome for them in the face of such broad public discontent. The next issue, which I doubt any of the protesters have considered, is how property claims from the 1950s are going to be settled once international relations have been normalized. I wonder myself, but I assume there are numerous plans are afoot.
