Accusations made by Madyson Marquette (and others) on various social media sites accuse him and other religious leaders of being involved in human and sex trafficking, and the investigations are ongoing.
Personally, I have enjoyed Rick Warrens teachings in the past. However if we've learned anything in recent times it is not to trust...ANYTHING anymore, as nothing is as it seems...
Time is the ultimate arbiter on the validity of such accusations, but there does seem to be a lot of people stepping down from some pretty high positions recently...

You're right. Sadly, there is no way to solve this other than what I suggest. The risk is too great, and children too precious.
I understand all of that. However, now that you have introduced that child to the pedophile in a very safe, trustworthy place, it is very, very, very easy for that pedophile to strike off church property.
If LE or the government were concerned about human trafficking, they would secure the border, not set up fake ads and trap a few locals.

This was just a prostitution sting not a human trafficking operation. Grady Judd in Polk County, Florida does the mall the time. The purpose of these operations is to stop male to female sex. The Goal of the Government is that everyone only engage in male to male and female to female sex.
Rick Warren is 67 years and has been a preacher for 42 years. He takes no salary and likely has very little contact with kids or single adult women.
You go 40+ years under a microscope, it’s pretty safe to conclude he has high moral character. A woman making allegations against him is just an attempt to get paid. Doubt she can provide any details as to times, dates, and places. A guy like Rick Warren almost assuredly has verifiable of where and when he was at any location.
Probably not in the same detail as Kavanaugh, which amazed me, but still sufficient to disprove any claims against him.

We are of similar age, and over the course of those years I have seen (too many) pastors fall, either sexually or financially (embezzlement). I have learned to be very careful about putting ANY man on a pedestal. The truth will come out...

It’s like a school coach who changes school districts every few years for no obvious reason. I’ve known of at least five situations like this. When a coach resigns during a successful season, that’s a clue.
I personally know of a situation, MANY years ago, in which the female head volleyball coach of a top-10 ranked team suddenly resigned 1/3 of the way through the season without explanation. It was fairly common knowledge that she had been sexually involved with players when she was a high school coach. She never coached the sport anywhere at any level. Her dad was very wealthy and I an sure significant sums of money was paid in exchange for silence and her agreement to never coach again.
I know of a number of other situations, one of which involved preferential treatment for lesbians on a D-II volleyball program. It came to light during patents weekend and a dad ask his daughter wasn’t playing or on the traveling team since she was obviously more talented than most of the other players. His daughter eventually told him that if a girl was unwilling to become involved in lesbian relationships, they would not get much playing time or be on the traveling team. On that Sunday, he met with the college president to inform the college president that if the coach was not fired that day, he’d go to the media. The coach was fired within the hour
I was merely pointing out that Rick Warren was in such a high profile position, and of such an age; his announced retirement means nothing regarding any claims of abuse.
