Mel Gibson was very excited to see former President Donald Trump at UFC 264 late Saturday night.
The “Lethal Weapon” star was enjoying the highly-anticipated fighting event when he saw the former POTUS walking through the crowd, and he fired him a salute as the crowd went wild.
It’s sometimes hard to believe the reality that we’re living in is real. Imagine if I told you 20 years ago that Donald Trump would be attending an MMA event as a former president and Mel Gibson would be saluting him.
Not a single person on the planet would have likely believed you and rightfully so.

Mel can sometimes go off the deep end but he did passion of the Christ and is a conservative. He lost some work for a while but early in his career he stayed quiet about politics and built his brand and future so he can get away with it. Good on him…
People forget how popular Trump is now and was for decades among the social class folks.
He got away with it and now doesn't care what any one in the industry thinks.

Weren't both of them Dems back then? Not fussing at either one of them for having a change of heart. Just saying that 20 years ago both of them had many of the same values.
I found an old clip of Mel back in 1987, when he was trying to warn the Australians about China.
He would have made an excellent Aussie PM.

Different dialect. Same message. Both ahead of the curve.
Been a long time since I’ve heard Mel’s Aussie accent.
I’m exposed to it a lot. Have dealings with an Aussie in my yishuv, and also listen to Sky News.
