The New York Times described chants of “freedom!” at thousands-strong peaceful protests in Cuba on Sunday as one of several “anti-government slogans” popular among the congregated. The Times also erroneously reported the protests were about “food and medicine shortages.”
“Shouting ‘Freedom’ and other anti-government slogans, hundreds of Cubans took to the streets in cities around the country on Sunday to protest food and medicine shortages, in a remarkable eruption of discontent not seen in nearly 30 years,” the Times wrote.

NY Times staffers since 1960 have considered Che Guevara “cute”-——some of the females there do, too.

The Declaration of Independence is “Anti-Government” when that government has abused its power.

I’ve got to say that NYT is correct and oddly honest. ‘Freedom’ is an antigovernment slogan in places like Cuba, China...and what does that say about their governments? Of course what I’m worried about is when it becomes an antigovernment slogan here.

I wonder what the result would have been if Cuban authorities responded to all the “peaceful” demonstrations that wracked U.S. cities in 2020?

The animus I feel towards our press, news outlets, and newstainment industry, makes me ill, and quite eager for their day of reckoning with an American people who I believe will catch on to the con job they have been living for a few decades now.
It's one thing to be poor at your job and of little use. It's another thing entirely to be a malicious mouthpiece for hire among propagandists appointed the heads of those institutions.

Cuba’s communist government is lucky. There are no shops to burn and loot. I bet there are secret government shops for communist party members only though. That’s the way the Soviets did it.

So what they’re saying, conversely, is that Government is Anti Freedom. Glad they admitted it.

Actually, I think there are shops that only take US dollars.
Cuba currency is not accepted.
That is why the Castro’s never interrupted the flow of US dollars being sent home to Cuba by relatives that had escaped to the USA. Those dollars sent home to Mom fueled their economy.

In every Communist country, Freedom is a dirty, antigovernment world!
you can spend a long time in jail, just for shouting “freedom”.
