Denial of Evolution Is a Form of White Supremacy (according to Scientific American)
Scientific American ^ | July 5, 2021 | Allison Hopper

As museums reopen let’s introduce ourselves, and our children, to the original Black ancestors of all human beings

I want to unmask the lie that evolution denial is about religion and recognize that at its core, it is a form of white supremacy that perpetuates segregation and violence against Black bodies. Under the guise of “religious freedom,” the legalistic wing of creationists loudly insists that their point of view deserves equal time in the classroom. Science education in the U.S. is constantly on the defensive against antievolution activists who want biblical stories to be taught as fact. In fact, the first wave of legal fights against evolution was supported by the Klan in the 1920s. Ever since then, entrenched racism and the ban on teaching evolution in the schools have gone hand in hand. In his piece, What We Get Wrong About the Evolution Debate, Adam Shapiro argues that “the history of American controversies over evolution has long been entangled with the history of American educational racism.”

...

At the heart of white evangelical creationism is the mythology of an unbroken white lineage that stretches back to a light-skinned Adam and Eve. In literal interpretations of the Christian Bible, white skin was created in God's image. Dark skin has a different, more problematic origin. As the biblical story goes, the curse or mark of Cain for killing his brother was a darkening of his descendants' skin. Historically, many congregations in the U.S. pointed to this story of Cain as evidence that Black skin was created as a punishment.

BS. The evolutionists' holy book, Darwin's Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races, is the basis of belief that whites are a special race.

Not only was it written at a time (1859) to undermine the Christian abolitionist movement, in the book Darwin wrote what he observed with ants using slaves. He said that the red ants would probably cease to exist without the black slave ants.

And to anybody who didn't connect the dots on how his natural selection applied to races of people, about a decade later he wrote The Descent of Man and clearly spelled it all out.

Yet again, the worldly people are projecting their own faults onto Christians.

Why would White suprecmacists NOT believe in evolution? Wouldn’t White supremacists believe that Blacks were less EVOLVED than Whites?

OK, good. I do not deny evolution.

How does Scientific American feel about multiregional evolution of the main human subspecies through hybridization with archaic forms? Or do they not believe in THAT evolution?

The author shows hs stupidity with this line.

Adam & Eve were created by God, written in the Book of Genesis and long BEFORE Jesus established Christianity.

So if I understand this correctly, if I believe in creationism, I’m a white supremecist, but if I believe black people came from monkeys I’m not? Can’t wait to tell the bruthas!

I was a scientist in my career. I paid for and received Scientific American for a few years back in the day. I stopped paying for it and receiving it when I realized it wasn’t ‘scientific’, it was just pushing the Left’s point of view. That was back in the 80’s.

Moreover, evolution was used to show blacks were inferior, being “less evolved,” and then evolution was used as the basis for eugenics, under which idea countless black people were
involuntarily sterilized.

Note: Forced sterilizations were not limited to black people.

So, everyone must now accept what Darwin proposed.
That being, the human species has evolved from the primate genus and the African black man is the closest living relative of modern day apes.

Who’s gonna apologize to Howard Cosell?

It does appear Hopper is calling for black privilege— the final, default starting point for everything, to cancel Christianity, and to end scientific inquiry: do not study nature, study blackness.
