That may be the cleanest way to go in one respect. But it would still be a messy and contentious procss and, I fear it would not be as bloodless as one might immagine. The “pushback” from the Marxist left would be intense.

The author is hinting at an American-style Franco or Pinochet. Maybe that could happen, but what passes as “the Right” is almost entirely subverted and infiltrated.

but in reality, communism has never been defeated by an economically-motivated “strong man.”

Economic determinism is Marxist.

Strong men are motivated by family, faith, and love of the nation.

It's weak liberal democracy that has never defeated communism, or more properly bolshevism, because its precepts of rules and limited powers are only meaningful to fellow believers.

Or his role models.

I think the republic is dead and that we need to start over.

We need to return to a limited federal government that is circumscribed by the strict interpretation of the enumeration of powers. If the Constitution does not say the Fed's can do it, then the Fed's cannot do it. It is simple but its implementation would be brutal.

“Actually, communism has never been defeated by anybody at the start because it takes over the government and police powers so rapidly that there is then never a chance for any movement or individual to fight back.....

Utter bullshit. The below is a partial list of violently-defeated communist revolutions/uprisings/coup-attempts over the last century.

Indonesia -1960s.
Thailand -1960s.
Oman -1970s.
Philippines -1930s - 1960s.
Chile - 1960s - 1970s.
Peru - 1970s - 1990s.
El Salvador - 1970s - 1980s.
Sri Lank - 1970s - 1980s.
India - 1960s - 1970s.
etc., etc.

In a word “secession”.

Amen to that! Give us the states of the old confederacy, Virginia to Texas, the left can take the rest. Within 5 years they will be beating down our doors to get at our food, energy and industry. I suggest a wall.

That was when communism was an insurgency, not when it had fully, if de facto, taken over the government and all power sources.

Knock off the secession talk. It’s against FR policy, and you know that.

The historical example is the USSR. There were enough soldiers and common Russians still around who chose to say “NO” when told to fire on their fellow Russians, and the rest was history.

China learned this lesson and brought in none contiguous groups who were willing and able to fire on their fellow citizens, and did.

Are there enough counter culture people in the LEOs and Armed Forces to be willing to fire on the super-straights when they revolt? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode.

Secession is not unconstitutional. Everyone now a days talks about it.

State(s) Secession is truly the only thing that the Marxists and the Feds actually fear.

One of the other problems with the strong man scenario is that it really only works if the strong man has a base - a party, an ethnic group, or some other group that will initially back him. And then his ego (and will to power, shudder) do the rest. I’m not in favor of the strong man scenario but I also think it’s unrealistic for our situation.
