The little twerp has been living in the Hollyweird bubble for so long, he was shocked that not every American was a God-hating Marxist millionaire.

They “don’t apologize for who they are,” but they were still “wonderful to us.” Sure, they had goatees and sunglasses and sang strange “church songs,” but they were somehow human beings.

You lie! They sucked your brains out and replaced it with a red MAGA brain! And you didn’t even notice! NYAHAHAHAHAHA! Bring in the next Hollyweirdo. The sedative in the BBQ sauce is just exactly right. MAGA!

Shades of Pauline Kael, who said after Nixon crushed McGovern in 1972:

“I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know. They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel them.”

The Left lives in a protected space due to our media lying by omission.

It’s been true forever — if you ask a Conservative to explain the Liberal position on Climate Change, Sustainable energy, Abortion, or taxing the rich, we can do a fine job. We understand them. We just disagree.

Ask a Liberal to explain a Conservative viewpoint? Well, Conservatives just hate everyone. Especially women and minorities. And we are filled with hatred because that’s what Christianity is all about. That explains all of our political positions. Right??

On the bright side, Nick Nolte was pretty good in the Prince of Tides. Even if he did have to dry-hump Barbara Streisand.

Matt has been a known quantity for a long time. Same thing with his pal Bem Affleck, that guy having a mid life rerun with Jlo. Jlo, who was just dumped after a five year fake engagement. They live in their own little world, surrounded by Yes Men who want to stay employed.

Robert De Niro and George Clooney were unavailable for the part so Mitt Damon filled in.

People like Damon weren't bought up, they were dragged up.

It infuriates me when some Leftist twit encounters real patriotic Americans much like an anthropologist on a field study of some kind of fauna and discovers “Hey, they're just regular people!’’.

I could care less of what some spoiled Hollywood degenerate thinks of conservatives.

I gave up on putting money in Tinsletown’s pocket a long time ago.

I take back the ‘Meh’....( a little)

I’m convinced what these good folks were trying to do with Matt is introduce him to the Living God.....
....they were singing church songs cause that’s what they do....
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sung ‘How Great is Our God’...(Chris Tomlin)

TV would like to convince its audience Southerners are beer guzzling, stomach scratching, ignorant hay seeds or even worse.....Mama June types!...meh
No doubt Matt met some genuine Bible believing salt of the earth souls who upset his preconceived ideas.

Matt Damon is twice-blind. Before he went Hollywood blind, he was Mass-hole blind. He doesn't see through windows as they're all mirrors to him.

He chose a profession where everything exists only in a script or on a stage. There is no reality.

Actually, it's beyond blindness; it's narcissism.

“Being invited into their homes, into a backyard barbecue, a guitar comes out and they start singing church songs. It's a very specific place. And very different to where I grew up,” Damon said at a news conference after the Thursday red carpet premiere of “Stillwater,” according to Reuters.

I'm a MAGA guy, go to Church and barbecues, but unless it is a Church sponsored event, I've never seen people singing "Church songs" at a cook out.

At a Church event, no one eats until the Priest gives a Blessing and we all recite a prayer.

If it's a volunteer fire hall event {yep, we still have volunteer firemen err, fire persons}:) there is generally no formal prayer {unless a person of the cloth is present}.

I attended a volunteer fire department fair in Mineral, VA on Saturday, and it was wonderful. Corndogs on a stick, fattening food, a few carnival rides for the kids, and some games to raise money.

Small town USA in southern Virginia, and there were people of all colors and lot's of local cops.

Everyone was having a good time.

If you go to a neighborhood cook out, it depends if a prayer is said and if later in the evening, some one sings, it's because they have had a few too many, and generally it's not Church songs.

If you wanted to understand this all better, read the excellent and still on point book by Andrew Breitbart.
Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World!
Where he spells out the sheltered liberal world of LA and how he broke with the left and went to war with the liberal main stream media.

Matt should have “worked like a roughneck” for a few weeks on the drill floor and also as a derrickman. He would have then understood.

Never seen this happen.

My statement from elsewhere:

“I didn’t know ... how specific this culture was in Texas and Oklahoma, these roughnecks and what they do. And so it was really eye-opening for me.”

This is the most remarkable statement he made... he’s admitting that he is THAT out of touch with America, all its parts...all its many groups, its many shades of Americanism, its broad, beautiful and YES.... inclusive social and economic fabric !

America is incredibly beautiful and if he finally wants to allow that fact, ... GREAT and welcome!

THEN, try W. Va, Ga., Ok., Tenn. etc... just get the hell OUT of LA! Check out some steelworkers, ironworkers, farmers, nurses, secretaries, retail workers, barbers... .it’s all here and ‘roughnecks’ are JUST the tip of the mountain of great, hard working and sincere people who are positively GA GA about the United States of America!!

The life of a Hollywood elitist sounds terribly boring. How do they live in such ignorance of the real world?
