Chinese government ships enter Japanese waters near Senkakus

Naha – Two Chinese coast guard ships sailed in Japanese territorial waters off the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture on Saturday.

The Japan Coast Guard urged the two Haijing ships to leave the waters after they approached a Japanese fishing boat.

It was the first intrusion into Japanese territorial waters around the island chain by Chinese government ships since June 26 and the 23rd this year.

The Chinese ships entered the Japanese waters south of Minamikojima in the Senkaku chain around 11:15 a.m., according to the Japan Coast Guard.

The Japanese-administrated islands are also claimed by China, which calls them the Diaoyu.

China: Without anyone leading the United States now that Trump is gone, we have no one to stop us.

“....now that Trump is gone, we have no one to stop us.”

Except for a nameless committee of appeasing progressives/socialists.

This is a way to pressure the Japanese away from any idea of collective action against China.

Revenge for WW2 but I still wouldn’t pick a fight with Japan!

And China shouldn't. Japan beat China in their 1895 war, and would have occupied all of China except for intervention by western powers that limited Japan to occupying Korea. Japan beat China in WWII except for intervention by western powers (leading to utter defeat of Japan by the U.S.A.).

This time around, there won't be western powers coming to the rescue of China. These conflicts between China and Japan have gone on for millennia. Japan remembers past injustices of Japanese women being kidnapped and tied to the bows of Chinese ships. The revenge goes both ways, as it does for conflicts between other hostile peoples (Turks/Armenians etc.)

We all have to assume the Japanese have secret devices. They are very good at that kind of thing.

The daily COVID fear mongering is enabling China to enslve their neighbors. Safe from covid, but subjectsxof China. And don’t think we are exempt. They just purchase us, instead of war.

I have no doubt that Japan has a well-hidden nuclear arsenal. Plus other things we can only guess at. I wouldn’t give two lychee nuts for the Three Gorges Dam.

If Biden had the nuke football, and China owns Biden, we would have had the 350,000 Chinese soldiers Biden invited to ‘secure the capital’ for the inauguration. But Biden doesn’t have the nuke football and the National Guard ‘secured the capital’ instead. Things are strangely not as they seem.

If Biden had the nuke football and was regarded as Commander in Chief throughout the military, the UN would be here, the vaccines would have already been forcibly administered. No, Biden lacks control of a core of the Military that China does not want to tangle with. The friction in the Pacific is a sign China doesn’t have the control it wants.

As someone that served in Japan and aware of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Forces please do not sleep on the JMSDF. They may not have as many ships as China, but the quality is vastly superior to anything the Chicoms have in the water! Even their 4 Helicopter Carrying Destroyers (2 now outfitted to carry F-35s would give China’s 2 Skijump Heavy Aviation Cruisers a run for their money. Subsurface the JN have had decades develop Asia’s most quite long range diesel even for us in Wargames they were hard to detect. China on the other hand continues to noisy Subs diesels and Nukes. China is at best a bully with a bunch of 1990s technology built into its Naval Forces on a good day.

That is a very passive description of the Japanese action. You would think the Japanese coast guard or a war ship would have warned off the Chinese and protected the Japanese fishing vessel.

A technical invasion could be said to have happened and potential state of war could exist as a result.

The Japanese are more innovative than the CCP. Yes, I’d bet they have good weapons no one has seen yet.
They build better quality hardware software than China.
They are nationalistic and more united as a people.
They have handed the bigger foe their a$$es as mentioned in other comments above. The Russo Japanese War 1904 being another example fighting over a territorial dispute.

And Japan is a beautiful place to visit !
