During a portion of an interview with BET set to air on Friday that was broadcast on Thursday’s “CBS This Morning,” Vice President Kamala Harris responded to a question on whether she’d compromise by agreeing to voter ID provisions to pass voting legislation by stating that we shouldn’t downplay the impact voter ID laws could have. Because to some, voter ID means, “you’re going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove that you are who you are.” And many people live where “there’s no Kinko’s, there’s no OfficeMax near them.”
Journalist Soledad O’Brien asked, “People are talking about potential compromises. Is agreeing to voter ID one of those compromises that you’d support?”

“Or I don’t know, vote in person and bring your ID.”
The obvious answer.
However, let’s address the issue of access to a copier. Kinko’s and Officemax are not the only locations where citizens can obtain copies. Most workplaces have a copier and allow employees to make one or two personal copies. Many post offices and public libraries have copying machines which can be used for a very small charge. UPS and other private mail/package concerns have copying machines. If you own a cell phone you can scan documents and print them out on a computer printer. A neighbor may have a scanner and computer printer if you can’t scan and print at home. A local school or government office might make a copy at no cost or for a nominal charge.
The concern about someone being disenfranchised due to inability to make photocopies is a complete non issue.
They can email a photo from their Obama phone.

...and of course no one has a smart phone with a camera to take an image of an ID.
They can make digital copies of their ID with their free Obamaphones.
The USPS r needs to be removed from any elections.
I like watching the videos where blacks are asked if they are too stupid to go to the DMV. ALL blacks knew where the DMV was and all had an ID.
but we’re supposed to show proof of vax? GTFOH
Squirrel!!!

If they can’t figure it out in two years, they don’t need to vote.
...Or they could just take a digital picture of it with their Obama phone.
IF they are going to test Slo Joe for cognitive ability, they better include KAMALA.

Is that one of those “copier deserts” they’ve been talking about? Such a tragedy!
I’m sure these people buy all the booze and cigarettes they want, so they must have ID. They can use their Obama phones to take a photo of their ID and send that.
Every bank has a copier, as do many post offices and libraries.
But it’s hardly likely that the people Obamala Harris is talking about have ever set foot in a library.
The local senior center will make copies & send faxes for a small fee.

My dog ate my ID.
Incredible stupidity!
Voter ID is not to be copied and send anywhere! That would defeat the purpose of voter ID anyway. The ballot harvesters could copy the ID’s for sure.
Voter ID is for voters to show at the booth, prove that you are what you claim to be nd that you reside in the district.
