Oh and btw, the number of cases that die? <1%. A fraction of 1%. That’s not the proper measure, of course. The correct measure is number of 65+ cases that die. That’s still less than 1%, but not all that much less. No reason to include the whole population in the first calculation. The vase majority were not vulnerable. Just count the vulnerable post 65 crowd. It makes the denominator smaller. Doing otherwise is like including males in the pregnancy rate of a population calculation.
Now, once you’ve absorbed that. Sub 1% . . . Peru’s Lambda Variant is killing 10%. And it’s on its way, unless you think the Border Patrol is going to stop it.
