TALIBAN insurgents have captured a brand new cargo of thousands of US weapons and vehicles as Afghanistan spirals out of control.

Following the takeover of a former Afghan National Army base, the Taliban have come into the hands of thousands of unused weapons and vehicles intended for US and Afghan troops. From one base in Wardak province in the north of the country, Sky News showed how the insurgents have snatched an astonishing 900 brand new guns, 30 hummvies, 20 armoured pick-up trucks, thousands of rounds of ammunition and boxes upon boxes of brand new missiles and mortars.

Thanks Sleepy46. Turning weapons over to our enemies just like you and Barry did during Fast and Furious.

I used to believe more of these kinds of reports. Now I suspect Deep State actors propping up the Taliban bought weapons through traitors in our mil or government (Brennan, the gun runner) and armed them as soon as legit military left. The story just seems too ‘pat’ and we’ve seen such corruption in the past 4 years I now look sideways at whatever ‘breaking news’ comes out.

What a coincidence. And they will blame it on Trump. They will say the “Trump Afghan Withdrawal” was the cause. but I call BS. Such timing.

it might be that decommissioning an active air force base requires money that could be more usefully diverted into the usual liberal welfare programs, and also paperwork which some day might be harmful to the party in power...

Nothing new. When US troops pulled out of Vietnam the weapons left behind made the Viet Cong one of the largest, best equipped armies in the world.

It is absolutely criminal that weapons and equipment were left to fall in the hands of our enemies.

Golly how could that happen?
Carelessness, incompetence, or intention?
I think FReepers know the answer.

126,000,000 refugees?
Sheesh.
126,000,000 colonists.

All equipment left behind should have been destroyed as our forces left.
This has become a growing pattern by our military.
American forces and our allies are now in danger of being killed by our own weapons.....
Unreal.....

They don't care. They didn't pay for it but they will go crying poverty at the next round of budget talks.

In a perfect world they would have left behind a few bombers and surplus bombs then, as the last troops were pulling away, bombed the place into oblivion. But why bother? It's only your money.

No time at the Pentagon for concern about preventing the loss of thousands of weapons to the Taliban.

All efforts concentrated on weeding out patriots in our military, turning them into havens for sexual perverts and indoctrinating them with Critical Race Theory.

I think I saw, in the manual of arms, instructions for rendering an M-14 useless before it was abandoned. It certainly wouldn’t be that hard to wreck an M-4

I believe you are correct. Had it been
our military responsible for this
ordinance, standard protocol would
be demolition.

I believe in the very near term, we will be financing the Taliban, these weapons were left behind on purpose to be used in the future...

Since the US is leaving Afghanistan I’ve seen articles on FreeRepublic about how the Chinese will reap all the mineral reserves of country....in order to do that China will have to import a lot of Chinese workers.....

The weapons we have left behind and the money we will be sending the Taliban will be used to bog the Chinese down in Afghanistan just like it was against Russia in the 1980s when we sent money and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to the Mujahedeen
