Health Ministry tracking finds effectiveness of vaccine against infection drops to 64 %, but effectiveness against hospitalization is 93%
The Health Ministry reported Monday that the effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine against the Delta Variant is less than its effectiveness against the earlier variants.
"The Health Ministry is constantly monitoring the effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccines", the ministry said in a statement.
"From an epidemiological analysis of public health services at the Health Ministry, starting June 6, there is a decrease in the benefit of the vaccine in preventing infection to 64% and in preventing symptomatic infection to 64%. The decline was observed simultaneously with the spread of the Delta Variant in Israel..."

So it’s 63% effective... What’s my odds of getting the thing w/o the vaccine? With the first variant, it was a 90% chance AGAINST getting it.

Useless article. Israel tested at least three vaccines, so which is it?
The government in Israel is going to develop “policy” based on this and further studies ordered by the government.
It will be interesting to see what kind of rules like vaccine passports or masking rules will emerge.
Israel currently has the infrastructure in place for a “Green Pass” system to separate vaccinated from unvaccinated people.
Its also gives people a temporary “Green Pass” in exchange for being COVID tested.
I think a booster or two will fix this.
Simple solution; just make HCQ plus Zinc Sulfate and Ivermectin over the counter drugs so people can treat themselves when any Covid symptoms arise.
The business websites already have this as the Pfizer vaxx...

Maybe the “vaccine” IS the Delta Variant.
No more restrictions — 64% is all we need. Those with preexisting conditions can take special precautions.
Which vaccine?
I haven’t read anything that says the delta is worse than a cold, though. Cold viruses have always been highly contagious and not only did we never panic, we supported important people coming to the workplace and working through their mild discomfort even as they passed their cold around the building.
I’m sure they magically have a new vaccine for the variant. It’s safe and effective, throughly tested.
I tracked that down to Pfizer and business news sites like the one I linked to in Post #9 report that.
This will be the pretext for the third “booster” shot of the vaccine in coming months it appears.
The UK is moving forward with tens of thousands of positive tests daily towards a “booster” jab effort this fall.
