It's too bad you have so many trees around your house and can't see the fireworks people are shooting off. It's too bad it's so light right now. It looks like mid-afternoon here.
There were a lot of good fireworks around here tonight. Every direction I looked, they were going off. I got video clips of Winchester's show, which was several miles away but the camera has a really good zoom. I got several screen captures when playing the videos and this one is pretty good.

WOW! That’s a huge burst! I’ll try on the deck when they closer together...right now they are only every little bit.

It was a moment during the finale. They have a pretty good show overall and it looks great from up close. But traffic is such a nightmare when it’s time to leave that I gave up going. I can see it from here along with a whole lotta other shows. LOL

Did Gizmo survive the 4th without freaking out too much?

Ooooo...that’s gorgeous! I’m glad there were so many pretty ones to watch. I didn’t even poke my head out. The people in my neighborhood just like the loud booming ones and there’s nothing to see. LOL!

They have a lot of BIG, pretty fireworks every year. Sure would be nice to get some of those to shoot off here. LOL
When you live somewhere that personal fireworks are illegal, you have to get the ones that just go boom. Harder for the police to figure out where you are. Pretty bright colors are a dead giveaway. :-)

Very true. Boom and run. LOL! It’s quiet now. I’m not sure if the kitties were scared, but Peaches just now decided to go outside.
I guess I’d better decide to go to sleep. All I’m doing is yawning. See ya tomorrow! Glad you were able to enjoy the fireworks!

I would hope it’s quiet by now, as late as it is. LOL
I hope the kitties outside weren’t too scared by the racket.
None of the cats we currently have seem to be bothered by the noise. We’ve had some in the past who freaked out badly. Poor Murphy would run back and forth through the house, meowing like crazy and he had a loud voice. Others we’ve had would hide. Not a one of these now even give us wild-eyed looks.
Get a good night’s sleep. I’ll be hugging the pillow soon too. Still not really recovered from the hectic weekend at the museum.

Doubt if any of the Air Force/Academy cadets/regular service-members under the new AF “health training program” could have lasted 3 hours under a bridge under enemy fire and do what Ripley did.
That’s why we have renamed the US Air Force/Academy to the US Air Farce/Academy.

Well, I actually slept through some of the fireworks last night but Gizmo did come into the bedroom and slept by the bed with me. Like I have been saying, dogs hate fireworks.
Yesterday at Comanche Lake.
The lawn mowing guys are going to come this morning and cut the grass for me. We plan on doing Comanche Lake later today.

Still gloomy and rainy here, but I actually saw some blue patches in the sky yesterday!

Penny stayed close to my side all night!

“Oh...and one lump or two?”
No, just dip your finger into the cup. Oh, no, wait! That would make it TOO sweet!
Two lumps in my COFFEE! ;-)

Poor Penny...I understand. My Dad’s first dog up here could never find a far enough place to hide. He mostly hid under a desk that had someone working at a computer. Dark and safety in numbers...his humans.
